Hello!  Welcome back!  I hope that you took the time to meet us in our first blog – it is important for you to know that we aren’t just building a tool to say we did, but that we really get it!

So…let’s jump in. What is NeuroLocker?

NeuroLocker, in its most basic form, is an all-in-one productivity tool.  It is bringing together all the things that you need to be successful in the classroom, in your work, and in your daily life.  

I know, it sounds like I’m sneezing rainbows and unicorns over here…but hear me out.

Let’s look at some of the biggest challenges you face on a daily basis: 

• Tuning out all the chaos around you so you can focus
• Taking notes in class or meetings
• Getting things into your To Do list or calendar before 6 other thoughts overtake you and you forget
• Too many places to keep track of everything, and so you get sidetracked before you write it down or forget where you wrote it down
• You go into your phone to write it down and get pulled into a game or social and it never happens
• Trouble breaking down big assignments or projects into manageable pieces and tracking them along the way

See…I told you we understand.  These are challenges we face on a daily basis too.  As a mom, I find myself constantly following up with Gabe to make sure his assignments are getting done and that he is on track with large assignments – like papers.  For his part…he calls me “Karen” a lot 🙂 and is irritated that I am “micro-managing” him.  At the same time, he recognizes that he can’t do it on his own – which leads to a lot of frustration on his end.

This is why we are building NeuroLocker.  It puts everything you need into one place – giving independence and support through the use of technology. By themselves, most of our features are not unique.  What is unique is that to date…no one has pulled them all together so that you can find what you need when you need it and without getting sidetracked by all the fun things on your phone when you are swapping between multiple apps.

Are you ready to learn more?  

NeuroLocker has an AI notetaker…this is one of my favorite features.  It will record lectures or meetings and you can generate a full transcript as well as a summary.  Not only that, but from the summary it will give you the option to create tasks or add notes (which includes uploading pictures or files).  If you create a task, it will put it into your calendar with a reminder (or 10) so that you don’t forget to get it done. AND, when you go to study or begin working on your project, everything is together in one place – the recording, the transcript, and any files you uploaded.

AI to help with task chunking, where you break large assignments or projects into manageable chunks, that you can create reminders for so that you don’t get overwhelmed, and you stay on track. (this feature is coming soon)

When you set up your account, you can color code your classes or projects.  This allows you to easily see in your calendar what you have coming up that needs to be worked on (and you can even add priority flags).

We also have a focus timer and white noise so that when you are ready to do some work, you have help tuning everything around you out.

You will have a lifeline…this is a contact that you set up when you set your account up.  This is the person that you call when things are really hard, when you are overwhelmed and need someone to help you get centered – and you will now be able to reach out to them with the push of a button.  For my son…this is me – someone who can help him remember to breathe when he is so overwhelmed that he is struggling to put a sentence together.  Someone to help him wrap his head around what triggered him that put him into fight or flight mode and help him get back into a safe mode.

And we plan to build a community – a place where users can come together and share.  We want to build a place where neurospicy is the norm and we help each other to thrive!

There is more on the horizon…but this is where we will start.  We hope that you will find value in this tool, and that you will share things that we can improve or add to make it even better.
